Remember when actors became American Presidents? When bubble skirts and blue eye shadow were cool? When Atari was cutting edge technology?
From the era that brought the world the Rubik's Cube, Max Headroom and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes Children’s Community Theatre’s September 2008 “totally awesome" hit musical, “Back to the 80’s.”
“Back to the 80’s” is a production written in the style of movies such as “Back To The Future,” “Ferris Bueller's Day Off,” “The Karate Kid” and “The Wedding Singer.” The show tells the story of the senior class of William Ocean High School that graduated in the 1980's, as remembered and seen through the eyes of Corey Palmer, who is now in his 30’s.
Featured songs include “Footloose,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Material Girl,” “Kids in America,” “Love Shack,” Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Time of My Life,” Mickey,” “Video Killed the Radio Star” and 17 more popular songs from the 80’s generation.
“Back to the 80’s” is directed by Tracey Busby.
